Optimism, sympathy and reliability were among those ten major qualities that English workers wish their colleagues to possess.
More than 2000 adults from Britain took part in a One4all Rewards Spotlight Awards survey.
The respondents were asked to name the qualities that they most appreciate in their colleagues in order to compose an image of an “Ideal colleague”, writes Fresh Business Thinking.
According to the survey, the ability to achieve results became the major quality (37%),
then came optimism, high spirits and enthusiasm (31%),
the third place went to reliability (30%),
due to which one can cry on colleague’s shoulder or let him/her in on a secret.
Initiative (27%),
keen understanding of one’s business (25%),
self-discipline and ability to finish work on time (24%) were also mentioned.
As it also turned out in the survey, blue collar workers are not so keen on such important qualities as leadership (13%) and competitiveness (4%) as white collar workers.
