Program:

1.  Introduction: structure, types of tasks

2.  IELTS listening strategies (with special attention to lower levels)

     Practical task: listening to one of the sections, analyzing the mistakes looking at the script

3.  IELTS reading strategies for academic and general

4. IELTS writing. Teaching strategies which include:

    Essay. Discussion of linking phrases and structure (analyzing samples)

    Academic task 1. Discussion of linking analytical phrases and the structure of different types of reports: graphs, bar-charts, pie-charts, tables, process description, maps, etc. (analyzing samples). 

5. IELTS speaking. Practical application of all three parts 

This seminar explains how to teach all four parts: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening (both Academic and General).

By the end of this seminar you will have learnt:

• What you need to do to fully prepare learners for their exam;
• How the exam works and is assessed;
• Practical strategies and activities to help learners achieve results;
• How to deal with common problems learners have while preparing;
