Duolingo English Test is the exam tests and confirms English language skills for admission to foreign schools and higher education institutions.
The test is conducted online. All you need to take the exam is an identity document, a quiet room, a Windows or macOS computer with a microphone, webcam, speaker, and a stable Internet connection.

You will receive your test results within 48 hours in your personal account.
Please note that the additional section of the exam is not checked immediately; it can be sent to the educational institution of your choice for verification and evaluation.
The Duolingo test is scored on a 160-point scale according to the CEFR international standard.

A Breakdown of the Duolingo Test Sections
The main part of the exam includes the following tasks:
- Choose a real word from the list
- Choose a real word from the list (by ear)
- Listen to the sentence and write it down
- Describe the picture in one or two sentences
- Add grammatically correct words to the text that will fit the meaning
- Make an oral record of the retelling of the read text
- Record an audio description of the demonstrated pictures
- Write down an answer for about 30 seconds to a proposed question
- Choose one of the proposed topics and record a dialogue for 1-3 minutes
- Choose one of the proposed topics and write an essay of up to 500 words
The additional part includes the following tasks:
- Write a short essay on the proposed topic
- Make an audio recording on the proposed topic
